The Second Annual Cherry Log Music Fest and BBQ will be held at Cherry Log Christian Church on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition to the barbecue plates furnished by the Pink Pig, a used book sale will help fund a retreat for the church youth in January. The youth will also have a bake sale. Profits from the barbecue and bake sale will be given to support the Gilmer County Food Pantry, too. Barbecue plates are $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Hardback books may be purchased for $3 each or five for $10. Paperbacks will be $1 each or seven for $5. The Wolf Creek Band, the Cherry Log Rascals, the GopherBroke Band, and Liberty Jones will be playing. Cherry Log Christian Church is located at 1149 Cherry Log Street just north of the Pink Pig.
